Eligibility

  Who is Eligible to Join AFIE? :
By joining AFIE now, you will be extending your membership to your children.
 
  • All active duty, retired, former: commissioned, warrant, and noncommissioned officers of the U.S. military services, National Guard and Reserve, Coast Guard, USPHS and NOAA
  • All active duty, reserve and medically retired Junior Enlisted personnel
  • All cadets and midshipmen of the Service and Merchant Marine academies and contractual ROTC students
  • Currently employed Department of Defense employees with a pay grade equivalent to GS-6 and above
  • Spouses and former spouses of current or former AFIE members
  • Former AFIE members
  • PLUS! - Children of current or former AFIE members
