AFI Recognizes Employees
Thomas Dials, president of Armed Force Insurance (AFI), recently hosted a reception honoring seventeen AFI employees who received awards for length of service or significant educational achievements over the past three months.
Christine Bolz, Tama Brzustowicz, and Tony Smith were recognized for five years of service with AFI. Karen Pasley completed ten years of service, and Diane Burns and Lynn Cox were recognized for fifteen years of service. Nancy Elmer, Kelly Vance, and Michelle Wolk were honored for twenty years of service to AFI.
Denise DeHaan, Robbie Garnett, and Shelli Venable completed the three-semester Program in General Insurance through the Insurance Institute of America. Patsy Sneed, Miranda Thompson, and Pam Wright received recognition for completion of the Institute’s Associate in Personal Insurance program. Elizabeth Branum completed the requirements for the Associate in Regulatory Compliance, and Stacey Unzicker completed an eight-semester program to earn the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
Ron Pfieffer was recognized for completion of the Microsoft Project+ Certification. Brenda Dutton and Thaneshia Lindsey completed Bachelor of Arts degrees, and Tracey Wagner was awarded a Masters in Business Administration degree.
Maura Kelly was honored following her selection by senior management as AFI’s Employee of the Quarter. Maura received the award in recognition of her outstanding performance on a recent major organizational training initiative.
Armed Forces Insurance is headquartered in Leavenworth and employs 230 persons at its two area locations. Founded in 1887, the organization provides quality property and liability insurance products to members of the military and Department of Defense community throughout the U.S. and overseas.
